Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 83 Thompson Street in Soho, Manhattan. Located at the intersection of Spring Street and Thompson Street, the lot is near the Spring Street subway station, serviced by the C and E trains. Scott Shnay of SK Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 26,191 square feet, with 22,060 square feet designated for residential space, 2,740 square feet for commercial space, and 1,390 square feet for community facility space. The building will have seven residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 3,151 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.

Selldorf Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. wow the sales team already put the units for sale for 2025 comletion

  2. I am sure they are going to market the apartments as being in SoHo, but in reality, this lot is in the South Village. Is in the Sullivan-Thompson Historic District.

  3. What was here? Anything. I don’t remember an empty lot on this corner?
