New Renderings Revealed for 181 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Sales recently launched for 181 MacDougal Street, a seven-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by The Straus Group under the Clinton Eight Realty LLC, the new construction development comprises of 16 units located a block from Washington Square Park and is also addressed as 38 West 8th Street. Corcoran Sunshine is handling sales.

Inventory is made up on one-, two-, and two-plus bedroom residences, including a full-floor penthouse with Midtown skyline views and over 2,000 square feet of both interior and exterior space. Pricing for the building’s only one-bedroom residence is $2,525,000. Two-bedroom residences start at $3,225,000 and the penthouse is priced at $11,750,000.

The penthouse features loft-like windows, a rooftop terrace, an outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbeque grill with dedicated gas line, Gaggenau kitchen appliances, a marble-clad primary bath with two shower heads and a freestanding tub with private outdoor space, and a secondary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and rooftop terrace access.

  2. Beautiful renderings. Unfortunately this is located at “Junkie Alley,” so it would I can never see opening $2.5+ Million to live there.

  4. It’s a handsome, low key design that blends well into the neighborhood. I also appreciate that there are 16 units. Almost every development should bring net new housing units to the market IMO.

  5. Wonderful upgrade from what previously occupied this spot. MacDougal Street could use a restoration from top to bottom, as it is a central location in Greenwich Village proper. It is historic and culturally rich, and completely undeserving of the ridiculous trolling of a previous comment.
