A public hearing has been set for January 14 to review alterations to 14 Sterling Place, a Neo-Grec style flats building in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Designed by Louis Bonnert and constructed in 1889, the property stands three stories tall and yields three residential units.
Proposed changes involve the construction of a rooftop bulkhead and a rear yard addition to the existing building. The specifics of the proposed additions, such as their dimensions and materials, will be discussed during the public hearing. Renderings of the proposed changes have not been released at this time.
Presumably, because the property is historically significant, the rooftop bulkhead addition will necessitate a sightline study to ensure that its changes will not result in a drastic change to the visual appearance of the building from street level.
Transit nearby 14 Sterling Place includes subway stations with service for the 2, 3, and R trains.

Changing it’s still better than unreasonable demolition, no renders have been released so make me curious: Thanks.
