Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1073 Clarkson Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located between East 93rd Street and East 94th Street, the lot is near the Saratoga Avenue subway station, served by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Jacob Kohn is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 6,227 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 622 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 21-foot-long front yard.
Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
