The affordable housing lottery has launched for 3-11 27th Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio and developed by Strategic Capital Metropolitan, the structure yields 50 residential units, 860-square-foot community facility, 7,829 square feet of commercial space, and 23 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for senior residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $55,783 to $134,160. Individuals or households must have at least one household member who is 62+ years of age at the time of application.
Amenities include bike storage lockers, community center, and an elevator. Units come equipped with washers and dryers, air conditioning, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen countertops and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity including electric stove and heat.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $1,500 for incomes ranging from $55,783 to $99,440, and ten two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,900 for incomes ranging from $71,863 to $134,160.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 27, 2025.
