Permits have been filed for two eight-story mixed-use buildings at 229 Shepherd Avenue and 3079 Atlantic Avenue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Located between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue, the lot is near the Norwood Avenue subway station, served by the J and Z trains. Joel Weiss of Empire Management & Construction is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 84-foot-tall developments will yield 131,581 square feet, with 125,238 square feet designated for residential space and 6,342 square feet for commercial space. The buildings will have 198 residences, with an average unit scope of 632 square feet. The concrete-based structures will not have any accessory parking.
De-Jan Lu of DJLU Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
