Weill Cornell Medicine Opens New Residence Hall on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Weill Cornell Medicine has officially opened its new $260 million student residence hall, named the Feil Family and Weill Family Residence Hall, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The 16-story building, located at the northwest corner of East 74th Street and York Avenue, will house 272 students and includes 163 studio apartments, seven one-bedrooms, and 51 two-bedroom units, all with full kitchens.

In addition to residential space, the 173,000-square-foot building offers communal areas dedicated to study, recreation, fitness, and social interaction, fostering a supportive residential environment. It is located four blocks from Weill Cornell’s core clinical, research, and educational facilities.

Nearby subway access includes the Q train at 72nd Street and Second Avenue, and the 6 train at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue.
