Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 28 Havens Place in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Atlantic Avenue and Herkimer Street, the lot is one block from the Atlantic Avenue subway station, served by the L train. Abraham Biller of 494 Jackson LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 124-foot-tall development will yield 138,490 square feet, with 134,565 square feet designated for residential space and 3,925 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 99 residences with a total of 201 units on the lot, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 669 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 28-foot-long rear yard.
P. Georgopoulos Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the warehouse on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This is East New York, not Bed Stuy
There’s going to be two 99-unit developments side by side. Not much is kbown about this architect so this could be okay or really terrible. Jope for the best.
Worth checking out is the nasty little new build a couple doors down with its address in giant Comic Sans mounted to the front. You can’t make this stuff up. The level of bad taste/ignorance it takes to pull off something like that is hard to wrap your head around.
Hope for the best.
And yeas, this is East NY not Bed-Stuy LOL.
Ever been to Scranton Jan???
Nah, this is solidly Bed-Stuy/Ocean Hill, it’s to the west of the L/Van Sinderen. The L serves as a real clear and obvious marker between East NY and Bed-Stuy/Brownsville.
