Permits have been filed for a 30-story mixed-use building at 245 Duffield Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Located between Fulton Street and Willoughby Street, the lot is near the DeKalb Avenue subway station, served by the B, Q, and R trains. Weitao Shi is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 450-foot-tall development will yield 99,902 square feet, with 95,243 square feet designated for residential space and 4,658 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 158 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 602 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.

Murat Mutlu of INOA Architecture Inc. is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed this month for the two-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. With Mutlu as architect, this is likely to be an interesting building. Too bad there’s no rendering.

  2. These numbers don’t add up. 450 feet is too tall for a 30-story rental building with only 1-2 floors for commercial use. Curious to see how this will turn out. The bar is set low with the garbage hotels on that block.
