Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 394 Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Gates Avenue, the lot is near the Bedford–Nostrand Avenues subway station, served by the G train, and the Nostrand Avenue station, served by the A and C trains. TA is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 19,332 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 690 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 16-foot-long rear yard.

Naresh Mahang of NY Building Associates Inc. is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the single-story commercial building on th. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Holding out hope that some of those decrepit warehouses and empty lot next door can be incorporated into the assemblage.

  2. look at the two story warehouses in the background….those should be restored; re-imagined into something worthy of Bed-Stuy community. They should NOT be demolished. Their character is too precious.

    • You are completely delusional. If we can create living space for a few hundred families there then the wrecking ball can’t come fast enough for these disgusting eyesores. People over buildings.
