Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 64 Green Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located between Franklin Street and West Street, the lot is closest to the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, served by the G train. Pete Jacov is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 68-foot-tall development will yield 8,349 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have five residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,391 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Susan M. Melamud is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in October 2025 for the residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. That is such a great little house we’re going to lose.

  2. I’ve helped construct numerous 5-7 story buildings like this in Greenpoint, where I used to live & work. I agree that this dilapidated shack, (will not be “missed”), & the new building will be better for the city & it’s residents. 👍
