Construction is nearing completion on Southend Lofts, a condominium development at 38 Jackson Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Nastasi Architects and developed by The Taurasi Group, the project contains 110 residences ranging from one- to five-bedroom configurations. The property is located between Observer Highway and Newark Street.
Originally home to the Davis Baking Powder and My-T-Fine Pudding factory, Southend Lofts combines a restored five-story historic structure with newly constructed wings rising up to nine stories across a full city block. Design elements include oversized windows and exposed columns.
Residents will have access to approximately 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, including The Overlook, an eighth-floor rooftop terrace with a 40-foot swimming pool, lounge areas, dining spaces, and views of Manhattan. Additional amenities will include a fitness center, coworking lounge, virtual sports simulator, children’s playroom, pet spa, and enclosed parking garage.
The building will also feature a covered public atrium with retail and dining tenants including Southend Market, Nana’s Dim Sum + Dumplings, Under Pressure Espresso Bar, and City Fitness, along with a Pre-Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education Center operated by the Hoboken Public School District.
The property is located within walking distance of the Hoboken PATH train station.
