Permits have been filed for a 12-story residential building at 8 Underhill Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street, the lot is near the Clinton–Washington Avenues subway station, served by the C train. Herman Rubin is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 124-foot-tall development will yield 21,364 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 36 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 593 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 17-foot-long rear yard.

Navkiran Cheema of KMA Designs LLC is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. There are so many CubeSmarts on Atlantic Ave … I wonder at what point the value of those locations as development sites supersedes their value as storage properties, if ever. At one point it made sense to have them located there, but they are increasingly becoming eyesores in a rezoned residential area.
