Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 549 Liberty Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Hendrix Street and Schenck Street, the lot is near the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, served by the C train. Aron Harfenes is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 33,998 square feet, with 31,694 square feet designated for residential space and 2,303 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 45 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 704 square feet. The concrete-based structure will not have accessory parking.
Navkiran Cheema of KMA Designs LLC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
