The Willow Affordable Senior Housing Project Breaks Ground At 1033 Willow Avenue In Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction has broken ground on The Willow, a six-story affordable senior housing development at 1033 Willow Avenue in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by KNTM Architects and developed by the City of Hoboken in partnership with Community Investment Strategies, the project will deliver 36 deed-restricted affordable apartments for residents aged 55 and older, marking the first new 100-percent affordable senior housing development built in Hoboken in more than 30 years. The property is located at the southeast corner of Willow Avenue and 11th Street.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Columbia Commons 1, an eight-story structure in a three-building complex at 498 Columbia Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the structure yields 369 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 60 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $30,446 to $183,200.

Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 1457 53rd Street in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Located between 14th and 15th Avenues, the lot is near the 55th Street subway station, served by the D train. 1457 53rd Street LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

832-Foot Skyscraper Rises at 70 Hudson Yards in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Construction is continuing to rise on 70 Hudson Yards, a 52-story commercial skyscraper in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners and Gensler and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the 832-foot-tall structure is planned to become New York’s first zero-carbon-emission skyscraper and will yield just under 1.4 million square feet of office space. The property is alternately addressed as 514 West 36th Street and located along Hudson Boulevard East between by West 35th and 36th Streets.

‘Sol On Park’ Affordable Senior Housing Project Secures Financing At 3728 Park Avenue In Claremont, The Bronx

Developers have secured a $214 million financing package for Sol on Park, an affordable housing development at 3728 Park Avenue in Claremont, The Bronx. Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning and developed through a partnership between NYCHA, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC), The NRP Group, Selfhelp Realty Group, and Foxy Management, the structure will deliver 229 permanently affordable apartments for older New Yorkers. The project is located at the northeast corner of Park Avenue and St. Paul’s Place, on New York City Housing Authority’s (NYCHA) Morris Houses campus.
