Last month Kinsmen Property Group, a joint venture between Madison Group and State Building Group, recently filed a land use application to transform a vacant lot at 156-166 Bowery into affordable housing. The new Nolita construction will comprise of three buildings yielding 322 residences, including one building with 124 affordable apartments for seniors.
Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 862 Kent Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Located between Park Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, the lot is near the Myrtle-Willoughby Avenues subway station, served by the G train. Joel Weiss of Heartfelt Townhouse Build is listed as the owner behind the applications.
A redesign has been revealed for 159 Broadway, a 12-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Stonehill Taylor and developed by Joyland Management under the One Fifty Nine B LLC, the 125-foot-tall structure will span 107,211 square feet and yield 99 rental units with an average scope of 827 square feet. The project will also include 9,065 square feet of community facility space and 16,249 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The property is located between Bedford and Driggs Avenues, directly west of the landmarked Williamsburgh Dime Savings Bank and south of the elevated roadways connecting to the Williamsburg Bridge.
Construction is nearing completion on The Langdon, a 24-story residential building at 288 East 88th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners in collaboration with Azur Holdings Management LLC and in partnership with The Carlyle Group, the 350-foot-tall structure will span 96,543 square feet and yield 45 rental units. Beyond residential space, the building will also feature 2,507 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the southwest corner of East 88th Street and Second Avenue.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for One River Park, a two-tower residential complex at 355 Exterior Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Lightstone Group under the 355 Exterior Street Associates LLC, the structure yields 714 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 227 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,783 to $238,160.
