Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building with a penthouse at 671 Liberty Avenue, in East New York, Brooklyn. The development will rise three blocks away from the Cleveland Street Subway Station, serviced by the J trains. The Shepherd Avenue Subway Station is seven blocks further, serviced by the A and C trains. Right around the corner is the Sperandeo Brothers Public Playground.
Liberty for Columbus LLC is listed as responsible for the development.
The 53-foot tall structure will yield 8,380 square feet of space, with 480 square feet dedicated to a ground-floor commercial retail shop, and 6,290 square feet for residential use. Ten units will be created, averaging 629 square feet apiece, indicating rentals.
Residents will have access to a recreational area, and a cellar with bicycle storage and accessory storage, and P Georgopoulos Architect will be responsible for the design.
The site is currently vacant. An estimated completion date has not yet been announced.

Henry Hill’s old neighborhood. I wonder if anyone will ‘turn up’ during excavation?
