Permits have been filed for two four-story residential buildings at 256 and 258 Winthrop Street, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. The site is just half a block away from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The next closest subway station, nine blocks away, is Parkside Avenue, serviced by the Q trains. Infinity Properties is behind the applications.
The two 55-foot tall structures will yield a combined 10,650 square feet for residential use. 16 apartments will be created, averaging 665 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Tenants will have a lobby on the first floor, and accessory storage in the cellar space. Penthouse space will be created above both the fourth floor in both units, creating two crowning duplex units.
Arc Architecture + Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed for an existing one-family home in late January of this year. The expected completion date has not been announced.
