Permits have been filed for a three-story school building at 64-29 218th Street in Flushing, Queens. Located between 64th Avenue and 67th Avenue, the lot is also addressed as 64-45 218th Street. The closest train station is Port Washington on the Long Island Railroad. NYC School Construction Authority is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 35-foot-tall development will yield 100,548 square feet, with 37,300 square feet designated for community facility space. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 15-foot-long front yard.
Alejandro Diez of Kliment Halsband Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed for P.S. 046 Alley Pond, the school currently on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
