Permits have been filed for a six-story office building at 118 Tenth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. Located between West 17th Street and West 18th Street, the lot is four blocks from the 14th Street subway station, serviced by the A, C, E, and L trains. GDSNY under the Highline 118 LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 170-foot-tall development will yield 80,376 square feet designated for commercial space. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar. It is unclear what amenities if any this office building will offer tenants.
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is listed as the architect of record. SOM is also responsible for designing 28 & 7 Office Building, a neighboring commercial project located at 322-326 Seventh Avenue.
Demolition permits were filed in October of this year. The building is expected to be completed by 2022.
