Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story residential skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street is getting closer to completion in Downtown Brooklyn. The installation of the wavy, rippling envelope is practically finished and most of the activity has shifted to the podium. The building is being developed by Tishman Speyer and designed by Studio Gang, with Hill West Architects as the architect of record. Michaelis Boyd Associates is leading the interior design for the 481 residential units, which come with 190 unique layouts.
Recent photos from Tectonic show the look of the bright sculptural façade from various angles. Sidewalk scaffolding and tall green construction boards temporarily obscure what is happening at the podium levels, but it’s safe to assume that work has progressed since our last update back in January.

It is possible that the shrubbery and landscaping could soon be delivered and lifted into place in the coming weeks. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of the landscaping for the private outdoor green space, which is positioned above the motor courtyard and features a cutout in the ceiling so light can reach the ground floor.
Home prices start at $690,000 for studios and range up to approximately $3,500,000 for a four-bedroom layout. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is leading the sales and marketing. Buyers have an option of two Brooklyn-inspired palettes called Heritage and Classic.
11 Hoyt Street is Jeanne Gang’s first skyscraper in Brooklyn and in New York City, and it is slated to be finished sometime before the end of the year.
