The 57-story, ground-up skyscraper is being designed by Studio Gang Architects, and Tishman Speyer is the developer of the 770,000 square foot project, located in Downtown Brooklyn. Hill West is the architect of record, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is managing sales for the 480 condominiums that are being designed by London-based Michaelis Boyd Associates.

Tishman Speyer is the developer of the 57-story, ground-up residential structure, which will rise on a full block. Hill West is the architect of record, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is managing sales for the 480 units.
The redevelopment of Macy’s former footprint in Downtown Brooklyn is set to add a major new skyscraper to the Borough’s skyline. Renderings for 11 Hoyt Street are out, and it’s looking to make an impression. The 51-story condominium building is designed by the architecture and urban design firm Studio Gang, led by MacArthur Fellow Jeanne Gang. This project will be the Chicago-based firm’s first residential building in New York City.
Macy’s is about to sell five stories of their nine-story building at 422 Fulton Street and the parking garage at 11 Hoyt Street (aka 217 Livingston Street) to Tishman Speyer for $170 million, according to Crain’s. Macy’s will consolidate commercial operations to 310,000 square feet, spanning the basement to the fourth floor, and Tishman will fund extensive renovations for those floor. As for the five upper floors Tishman is purchasing, those will be converted to office space and five more floors will be added up top. In the end, 10 stories of integrated office space is planned.
