By the time this article is written, you have virtually no chance at getting in a decent apartment. How do I know? I won two lotteries but didn’t take any because they were too small. I applied within the first hour of the lottery appearing on both of those.
I applied the day after the lottery was opened on another building and was around applicant #50,000. Which means you aren’t getting in.

Need housing
I find these low income requirements “excessively” high even at $40k yearly income. One way to look at the income is $15.00 an hour (minimum wage) times 40 hours per week times 53 weeks = $31,200. This is only if this person doesn’t take 1 day off or heaven forbid they take a vacation. (If they can afford one). I have to assume that only well off people can enjoy life while we live to work. This country has become a nightmare.
