Renovation permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 211-213 East 73rd Street on the Upper East Side. Located between Second and Third Avenues, the interior lot is one block from the 72nd Street subway station, serviced by the Q train. Benny Caiolo of Bettina Equities Company is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The permit calls for the conversion of units 1E and 1F into duplex residences with recreation rooms in the 71-foot-tall building. 211 East 73rd Street was built in 1930 and altered in 1980. The 14,185-square-foot structure will have 23 units after the conversion.
Rajiv Fernandez is listed as the architect of record.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
