Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 246 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, the interior lot is steps from the 18th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Joseph Nabavi of Innovative is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 120-foot-tall development will yield 35,679 square feet, with 27,674 square feet designated for residential space and 8,005 square feet on the first and second floors for commercial space. The building will have 26 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,064 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and ten enclosed parking spaces.
Mark Searage of Art of Form Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Another historic building needless destroyed. There is no driveway curb cut here, how can the city approve onsite parking?
