The affordable housing lottery has launched for One Archer, a 24-story residential building at 160-05 Archer Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Shorewood Real Estate Group, the structure yields 315 residences and 131,282 square feet of ground-floor retail. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 95 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $53,143 to $167,570.
Amenities include parking for 156 vehicles, a co-working space, game room, fitness center and yoga room, a dog wash and dog run, multiple lounges, bike storage, concierge, and a rooftop terrace. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, dishwashers, washers and dryers, charging outlets with USB ports, and hardwood floors.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 22 studios with a monthly rent ranging from $1,550 to $1,600 for incomes ranging from $53,143 to $124,150; 56 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent ranging from $1,750 to $1,870 for incomes ranging from $60,000 to $139,620; and 17 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent ranging from $2,200 to $2,345 for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 21, 2022.

I am losing my beautiful view because of this building that is built in front of my building the person that’s in charge of Biulding this building did not think about the people when I look out my window I feel like I am at Rikers Island prison, nobody cares about people anymore they care about money but they don’t care about the people I have been mentally depressed because my home feels like a prison this building that they built blocks my living room view and my bedroom View whoever put this project together didn’t care about the people there’s many ways this could have been built where everybody would have been happy this is the world we live in nobody cares
