Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 809 Midwood Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located between East 48th Street and Schenectady Avenue, the lot is near the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road subway station, serviced by the 3 train. Moshe Steinmetz under the MS Investments 3 LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 54-foot-tall development will yield 12,208 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 18 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 678 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 40-foot-long rear yard.
Lester Katz of XPdite Group LLC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed this month for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This is not Brownsville. It is East Flatbush. Very different neighborhood.
