The affordable housing lottery has launched for seniors at 250 Winthrop Street, an eight-story residential building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Designed by P. Georgopouls Architects, the structure yields 49 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 27 units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $53,589 to $111,840.

Amenities include bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, package lockers, and a rooftop terrace. Units are equipped with air conditioning. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes heat, hot water, and stove.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there are 12 studios with a monthly rent of $1,483 for incomes ranging from $53,589 to $99,440, and 15 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,552 for incomes ranging from $57,155 to $111,840.

Individuals or households must have at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older and who meet the income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than December 17, 2024.
