Permits have been filed for an eight-story senior housing building at 1763 Amsterdam Avenue in West Harlem, Manhattan. Located between West 147th Street and West 148th Street, the lot is near the 145th Street subway station, served by the A, B, C, and D trains. Saba Vahdat under the 1634 Dean LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 49,703 square feet designated for community facility space. The building will have 126 residences, with an average unit scope of 394 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a rooftop terrace on the eight floor, and a 43-foot-long rear yard.
Harriet Nikakis of HCN Design is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
