Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 88-40 54th Avenue in Elmhurst, Queens. Located between 90th Street and Justice Avenue, the lot is near the Grand Avenue-Newtown subway station, served by the E, F, M and R trains. Rihong Zhang of 54-8840 LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 4,913 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have seven residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 701 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Dezhang Fang of Fang Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in October of last year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
