Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a seven-story residential building at 97 28th Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Located between Cropsey Avenue and Harway Avenue, the lot is near the Bay 50th Street subway station, served by the D train. Chao Yuan is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 45-foot-tall development will yield 6,875 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 859 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 31-foot-long, green room, and six parking spaces.

Hao Li Ying of City Building NY Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
