The affordable housing lottery has launched for 275 20th Street, a five-story residential building in Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Nikolai Katz Architect and developed by Yitzi Salamon, the structure yields 51 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 40 to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $38,778 to $135,700.

Amenities include security cameras, pet-friendly policies, and shared laundry room. Tenant are responsible for electricity including heat and stove.

At 40 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $940 for incomes ranging from $38,778 to $54,280.

At 90 percent of the AMI, there are eight studios with a monthly rent of $2,315 for incomes ranging from $85,920 to $122,130.

At 100 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a monthly rent of $2,590 for incomes ranging from $94,560 to $135,700.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 25, 2026.

  1. This is technically an office-to-residential conversion. As far as I can tell from StreetView, this building used to be an office for a TLC Dispatcher and an insurance company. After some tasteful additions and changes to the exterior, it’s now a residential apartment building. Cool!
