Renderings have been revealed for The TwoSixtyTwo, a four-story residential building nearing completion at 262-266 New York Avenue in The Heights neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Pereiras Architects Ubiquitous and developed by Academy Capital, the structure will yield ten condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts. The project will also include a 1,350-square-foot live/work unit on the ground level. The property is located between Bowers and Griffith Streets.
The renderings show the building clad in a mix of earth-toned brick and gray paneling with sections of orange accenting. A setback divided into two terraces is located on the fourth floor, and a green roof will cap the structure.
The rear elevation will feature a simpler gray façade with a stack of balconies and an expansive green deck on the second level.
Units will come with walnut flooring and kitchens fitted with quartz countertops, white tile backsplashes, and black appliances.
The development replaces a vacant lot.
The homes will be divided into four one-bedrooms, four two-bedrooms, and two three-bedrooms. Each apartment will also have an in-unit washer/dryer, Google Nest thermostats, and a ButterflyMX smart video intercom. All residents will have access to a shared roof deck with views of the New York City skyline across the Hudson River. The pet-friendly development also comes with six covered parking spots with two EV chargers, 11 bike racks, and a package room.
YIMBY expects 262-266 New York Avenue to finish construction sometime before the end of the year.
