Renderings have been revealed for The Market Hall at Manhattan West, a two-level food hall taking shape at 398 Tenth Avenue in Midtown West. Developed by Brookfield Properties, the venue spans more than 34,000 square feet and will yield 12 casual dining concepts, an independent full-service restaurant, a full-service indoor bar, and a rooftop terrace bar. The project will also include new retail and service offerings. The property is located within Five Manhattan West between West 31st and West 33rd Streets, with access from both Tenth Avenue and the Manhattan West plaza.

The announcement is the first major development at the complex since our last update in February 2024, when construction finished on Two Manhattan West, the final component of the $4.5 billion, 7-million-square-foot master plan. Interior and exterior transformations of the market hall space are now well underway, according to the developer.

The inaugural slate of food and beverage tenants skews toward local operators. The space was previously occupied by Citizens Market Hall, a roughly 40,000-square-foot, single-operator food hall that opened with the complex in 2021 and closed in April 2025. Brookfield is repositioning the venue in the mold of Hudson Eats, the multi-vendor dining hall it has operated at full occupancy at Brookfield Place since 2014, with stalls run by independent owners.

The Market Hall at Manhattan West is slated to open to the public this fall.
