The affordable housing lottery has launched for 125 Chrystie Street, a 12-story residential building in Bowery, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architects and developed by Horizon Group, the structure yields 55 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 units for residents at 60 to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $58,869 to $183,200.
Amenities will include a 24-hour concierge-attended lobby, a lounge, fitness center, and a rooftop deck with dedicated cooking and dining spaces. Tenants are responsible for electricity with stove, heat, and hot water.
At 60 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $1,517 for incomes ranging from $58,869 to $81,420; two one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,527 for incomes ranging from $60,686 to $91,620; two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,745 for incomes ranging from $71,623 to $109,920; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $1,798 for incomes ranging from $73,440 to $109,920.
At 100 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $2,572 for incomes ranging from $95,040 to $135,700; three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,706 for incomes ranging from $101,109 to $152,700; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $3,159 for incomes ranging from $120,103 to $183,200.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 2, 2025.
