Revealed: Schlitz Brewery Redevelopment, 95 Evergreen Avenue, Bushwick

The controversial redevelopment of Bushwick’s Rheingold Brewery has attracted plenty of press in recent months, but the another huge brewery complex across the street is about to get a new lease on life. A group of investors paid $33.7 million for the former Schlitz bottling plant at 95 Evergreen Avenue in January, and now they’ve released renderings of its future as offices and retail.

Seven-Story, 33-Unit Condo Building Tops Out At 34-32 35th Street, Astoria

In February of 2015, foundation work was underway at 34-32 35th Street, in southern Astoria, where a seven-story, 33-unit residential building is being constructed. Now the building has topped out and receiving its façade, according to The New York Times. Dubbed The Marx, the 28,957 square-foot building will feature condominiums measuring from 675 to 1,363 square feet, in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. Kaufman Astoria Studios and Bronx-based Procida Companies are developing, while Fogarty Finger is designing. Completion is slated for early 2016.

48-Unit Building Wraps Up Construction At 41-07 Crescent Street, Long Island City

A little over a year ago, YIMBY revealed renderings for Ranger Properties’ nine-story, 48-unit mixed-use building at 41-07 Crescent Street, in Long Island City, and now The Court Square Blog reports the topped-out structure’s façade has nearly completed installation. The 36,320 square-foot building will include nearly 4,000 square feet of retail space. Fogarty Finger is designing, and completion is scheduled for this September.
