Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1230 Prospect Avenue, in Foxhurst, The Bronx. The site is seven blocks away from the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Badaly Architects is responsible for the design. The development will also be just two blocks away from another project by the firm, at 872 Home Street.
Permits have been filed for a six-story medical facility at 505 West 168th Street, in Washington Heights, Manhattan. The site is two blocks away from the 168th Street Subway Station, serviced by the 1, A, and C trains. Marino Torres MD is listed as the owner. Mr. Torres MD is a board certified pediatrics professional working at New York Presbyterian. NYP owns a multi-block hospital structure right next to the subway station. The permit does not specify a connection with the hospital, but it seems inevitable.
Permits have been filed for a new 10-story addition to the Coney Island Hospital complex at 2619 Ocean Parkway, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The site is ten blocks away from the Sheepshead Bay subway Station, serviced by the B and Q trains, and nine blocks away from the Neptune Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the F trains. The Coney Island Hospital, connected with the NYC Health and Hospitals Company, will be responsible for the project.
New renderings have been revealed for 208 Delancey Street, a 12-story residential tower coming to the Lower East Side. Back in July of 2015, YIMBY reported that construction had stalled out, and the owner at the time put the project on the market for $35.5 million. New Empire Real Estate is now going to be responsible for the development, and the change in management brought along a completely revamped design, by ODA Architecture, with Shiming Tam serving as architect of record.
