Vertical construction at 45 Park Place is coming to a close, as workers appear to have reached the top floors of the stepped, reinforced concrete superstructure. The 667-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which is located along the border of Tribeca and the Financial District, is being designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects serving as the executive and residential architect. Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties is the developer of the 43-story property. Sales of the units, which feature interiors designed by Piero Lissoni, are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine.

The upcoming 29-story Margaritaville Resort at 560 Seventh Avenue is rising above Times Square and has already reached its main setback. YIMBY last checked in on the project back in early May, when it had just begun to ascend above street level. Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties is developing the site along with MHP Real Estate Services, and Stonehill & Taylor Architects is the designer. There will be a three-story restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool with plentiful seating and beach-themed motifs, and a rooftop bar called the LandShark Bar & Grill. The projected price for the resort hotel is expected to be around $300 million.

Set to rise 667 feet atop a block that’s now been dubbed part of Tribeca, 45 Park Place is approaching topping-out. Designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva serving as the executive and residential architect, the tower is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal’s Soho Properties. The building is now climbing past the 36th floor, where the last major setback on the eastern elevation is located.
