Dumbo Market Signs Lease At Jasper In Long Island City, Queens

Dumbo Market, a local grocery store, has committed to a lease for approximately 13,500 square feet of space at Jasper, a new $370 million mixed-use development located at 2-33 50th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. The new location, brokered by Igloo, is set to open in early 2025 alongside the project’s completion. Jasper is a joint venture between The Domain Companies, LMXD, the VOREA Group, and Bridge Investment Group, and was designed by S9 Architecture.

The mixed-use, mixed-income project plans to span 550,000 square feet and offer 499 apartments in total, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, with 150 units set aside for those with a 130 percent area median income. Residents will have access to an array of amenities, including a pool, a fitness center/yoga studio, bike storage, a game room, outdoor dining and BBQ areas, and coworking space.

Dumbo Market will be relocating from its current site across the street to join Jasper. The market, which already has two locations in Brooklyn and one coming soon in Hoboken, New Jersey, will offer a full conventional and gourmet grocery experience.

Jasper is expected to complete construction in the first quarter of 2025 and will pursue LEED platinum certification while participating in the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program. When complete, residents will enjoy its close proximity to subway lines 7, E, N, G, W, R, F. Beyond that, it will also offer 112 parking spaces for residents with vehicles.
