Casa Celina Completes Construction at 1810 Watson Avenue in Soundview, The Bronx

Construction is complete on Casa Celina, a 16-story affordable housing building at 1810 Watson Avenue in Soundview, The Bronx. Named for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s mother Celina Báez, the structure offers 204 affordable apartments targeted at older adults. It was built in collaboration between Xenolith Partners, The Kretchmer Companies, ELH Management, and JASA, and was designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning.

Garden Towers Apartments, a 149-unit affordable senior housing development, recently completed construction in Morrisania, The Bronx. The development, which is made up of two residential buildings located at 1323 Boston Road and 1332 Clinton Avenue, was designed by Newman Design Architects. It was developed by Foxy Management working in partnership with HANAC Inc and JLD Advisory LLC.

Designed by S9 Architecture and developed by Domain Companies, the property is located at 414 Gerard Avenue and 445 Gerard Avenue and yields 544 units, with 164 designated for affordable housing. The 1,950 square foot marketplace is located at 445 Gerard Avenue.

Designed by Greenberg Farrow in collaboration with Michaelis Boyd and developed by JCS Realty Group, the structure will yield 579 units in studio to two-bedroom layouts with 131 affordable units and more than 40,000 square feet of amenities. Leasing has begun for the property, which is bound by Bruckner Boulevard to the north, East 132nd Street to the south, and St. Ann’s Avenue to the east.
