Orchard Beach Pavilion Completes Restoration In Pelham Bay Park, The Bronx

Orchard Beach Pavilion has reopened at Orchard Beach in The Bronx’s Pelham Bay Park following a $114 million reconstruction project. Designed by Marvel for NYC Parks and NYCEDC, the project involved the restoration of the landmarked 140,000-square-foot building, which was originally built in 1936 with Works Progress Administration funding and had been closed since 2009.

ELURP Application Approved For First City-Owned Site At 351 Powers Avenue In Mott Haven, The Bronx

New York City Council has approved the city’s first Expedited Land Use Review Procedure (ELURP) application for 351 Powers Avenue, an eight-story residential building in Mott Haven, The Bronx. The city-owned site will be developed with 84 affordable homes for low-income New Yorkers, including 30 units for formerly homeless residents. The property is located between East 141st Street and East 143rd Street.
