Work has begun on 2868 Webster Avenue in Bedford Park, The Bronx, the second phase of a two-phase mixed-use development. The 12-story, 250,000-square-foot building will sit adjacent to the New York Botanical Gardens. Developed by Douglaston Development in collaboration with the Jericho Project, components include 277 affordable housing units, 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, on-site social services, and residential amenities.

Excavation Underway for 714-Unit Complex at 355 Exterior Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx

Excavation and pilings are underway at 355 Exterior Street, the site of a two-tower residential complex in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Lightstone Group under the 355 Exterior Street Associates LLC, the 720,785-square-foot project will yield 714 rental units with an average scope of 777 square feet, as well as 10,630 square feet of commercial space and 325 enclosed parking spaces. The taller of the two towers will rise 437 feet, making it the tallest structure in the South Bronx and in the borough, and taking the title away from River Park Towers that stands 428 feet tall. The property is located along the Harlem River near the intersection of Exterior and Gerard Streets.

Development Team Selected For Renovation Of The Kingsbridge Armory In The Bronx

The redevelopment team for the historic Kingsbridge Armory, now reimagined as El Centro Kingsbridge, was recently unveiled by Mayor Eric Adams, Governor Kathy Hochul, U.S. representative Adriano Espaillat, and NYCEDC president Andrew Kimball. Renovation will be a collaborative effort led by 8th Regiment Partners LLC with designs by architecture firm FXCollaborative. The Romanesque building, which is currently unused, opened in 1917 and is located on Jerome Avenue between West Kingsbridge Road and West 195th Street in The Bronx.
