Redesign Revealed for 800-Unit Development at 71-12 Park Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens

A new design has been revealed for 71-12 Park Avenue, a 13-story residential building in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Center, the 784,000-square-foot structure will yield approximately 800 rental units. This represents a signifiant reduction in scope from the original plan, which called for 50- and 42-story skyscrapers spanning 1.28 million square feet. The 107,500-square-foot property is bounded by 71st Avenue to the north, Park Avenue to the east, and Parsons Boulevard to the west.

Kew Gardens Hills’ First 50-Story Skyscrapers Get Additional Renderings, in Queens

Additional renderings have been revealed for Utopia Living, a two-skyscraper residential complex at 71-12 Park Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Center, the 1.28-million-square-foot project consists of a pair of 42- and 50-story structures rising from a shared podium, and will yield 850 units along with an extensive collection of amenities. The property is located along Parsons Boulevard between 71st and 72nd Avenues.

Permits Filed for 146-50 Reeves Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens

Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 146-50 Reeves Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. Located between 146th Street and 146th Place, the lot is closest to the 67th Avenue subway station, serviced by the E, F, and R trains. NYC School Construction Authority is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The Parluxe Finishes Construction at 71-82 Parsons Boulevard in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens

Construction is complete on The Parluxe, an eight-story mixed-use building at 71-82 Parsons Boulevard in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. Designed by ARC Architecture and developed by A&R Properties Group, the all-electric structure spans 100,000 square feet and yields 94 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts with interiors by Durukan Design, as well as 8,000 square feet of community facility space and 45 enclosed parking spaces. REAL New York is handling marketing and leasing for the property, which is bound by Parsons Boulevard to the east, Aguilar Avenue to the west, and 72nd Avenue to the south.

City Planning Commission Approves Mixed-Use Building at 77-39 Vleigh Place in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens

The City Planning Commission has approved the construction of an six-story mixed-use property at 77-39 Vleigh Place in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. Led by developer VP Capital Holdings, the building will create a mix of market-rate apartments, affordable homes, a retail component, and community facility space.

Three-Story, 10,000-Square-Foot Yeshiva Planned At 147-22 73rd Avenue, Kew Gardens Hills

Congregation Yeshiva Tiferet Torah, headed by Nerya Aminov, has filed applications for a new three-story, 10,379-square-foot educational facility at 147-22 73rd Avenue, in Kew Gardens Hills, located midway between Flushing and Jamaica in Queens. The new school will feature a gym in the sub-cellar, a library and lecture offices in the cellar, classrooms and teachers’ offices on the ground and second floors, and a study hall on the third floor. The project would be built on an 80-foot-wide vacant lot, once home to a two-story house that was demolished in 2003. Joe Lieberman’s Queens-based Abris Design Studio Corp. is the architect of record.
