Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 135-25 Northern Boulevard, in Flushing, Queens. Located between Prince Street and Main Street, the through-lot is adjacent to Daniel Carter Beard Mall. Approximately four blocks south is the Flushing station on the LIRR, as well as the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Orrin Feingold of Sovereign Health System is listed as the owner behind the applications. The community healthcare system mainly treats substance abuse and mental heath issues in the tri-state area.
Work on 77 Greenwich Street is progressing rapidly. The imminently 500-foot tall and 42-story building is quickly rising above its podium, and has already reached its tenth floor. The FXCollaborative-designed tower will house 90 residential units beginning 150 feet above the streets down below. Interiors are being designed by Deborah Berke Partners. Trinity Place Holdings is the developer of the site, which sits on the western side of the Financial District.
Updated proposals for the renovation and redesign of 550 Madison Avenue contain exciting new details on Snøhetta’s vision for the landmarked structure. This most recent batch of documents is dated January 15, 2019, and includes a selection of new renderings, floor plans, and specifications of proposed building materials. The documents will go before the LPC for review later today.
Construction has officially topped-out at Bronx Commons, a highly anticipated development that will introduce a mix of affordable housing, a new music hall, retail tenants, and outdoor recreation space. The project is in The Bronx’s Melrose Commons, between East 162nd and ast 163rd streets, on the west side of Elton Avenue.
New permits have been filed for a 14-story residential building at 53 Huron Street, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Also known as 161 West Street, the proposed development is located on the Brooklyn waterfront four blocks north of WNYC Transmitter Park. It is steps away from Greenpoint landing on the NYC ferry system, and six blocks west of the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. London-based private equity firm Quadrum Global is responsible for the application.
