Extell Development has broken ground on Hudson Piers, a $585 million project that will rank among the largest mixed-use developments in Westchester. Located on the Hudson River waterfront in Yonkers, Hudson Piers will yield a mix of market-rate housing, affordable apartments, and retail space, and will be completed in multiple phases over a six-year period.
Permits have been filed to enlarge a two-story structure into a 10-story mixed-use building at 134-16 35th Avenue in Flushing, Queens. Located between Prince Street and Farrington Street, the lot is within walking distance of the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Hanjun Bai of H&Z Building Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 25-28 30th Drive, a six-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Gerald Caliendo and developers are Salvatore Lucchese and Philip Loria with The L Group, the structure yields 10 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $187,330.
Façade installation continues on 451 Tenth Avenue, a 45-story residential skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by Handel Architects, developed and constructed by Related Companies, and co-developed with Spitzer Enterprises, the 587-foot-tall structure will yield an undisclosed number of rental units as well as a restaurant, a new Equinox fitness center, and a senior living facility by Atria Senior Living called Coterie Hudson Yards. March and White Design (MAWD) is serving as the interior designer for the senior homes at the building, which rises from a 17,280-square-foot L-shaped plot at the corner of Tenth Avenue and West 35th Street.
Construction has topped out on 202 East 23rd Street, a 20-story residential building in Kips Bay, Manhattan. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by SMA Equities, the 90,000-square-foot structure is being built to Passive House standards and will yield 108 units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, with 28 of the apartments designated for affordable housing. KSK Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of East 23rd Street and Third Avenue.
