Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 142 South Portland Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Hanson Place and Academy Park Place, the lot is two blocks west of the LIRR Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Avenue-Barclay Center subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R trains. Michael T. Rooney under the South Portland LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Work is moving along on the exterior of The Symon, a 13-story residential building at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Installation of the brick façade and windows on the main northern elevation is nearly complete. Designed by Eugene Colberg of Colberg Architecture, the development will contain 59 units, which will range from one- to four-bedrooms layouts. Studio DB is the interior designer for the residences, amenity spaces, and the curtain wall. Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies are developing the property.

The wavy, rippling precast façade has reached the flat roof parapet, while work on the podium and lower floors is headed toward completion. Tishman Speyer is the developer and Hill West is the architect of record for the Studio Gang-designed residential project. Three piling machines and two excavators have been set up at 37 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The upcoming 343,788-square-foot, mixed-use building will rise 26 stories and bring 323 rental units to the neighborhood. The property sits at the corner of Dean Street and Sixth Avenue and is directly to the east of Barclays Center. Marvel Architects is the designer and the Brodsky Organization is the developer. An updated rendering was also posted on the construction fence. The project is alternately addressed 495 Dean Street and 664 Pacific Street.
