YIMBY Scopes Views From 99 Hudson Street as Completion Nears, in Jersey City

Work on the exterior of 99 Hudson Street is nearing completion. The external mechanical hoist has been dismantled and the remaining Jura limestone and glass panels are filling up the vertical strips in the curtain wall of Jersey City‘s tallest skyscraper. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by COA 99 Hudson, LLC, the topped-out 900-foot-tall residential tower soars prominently above the Hudson River waterfront and is clearly visible from Manhattan. Plaza Construction is in charge of building the 79-story project and Vidaris is overseeing the exterior envelope. The perimeter of the podium that contains the parking garage is also being enclosed with decorative metal panels.

YIMBY Checks Out The Skyline Views From Greenwich West in Hudson Square

YIMBY went on a tour of Greenwich West, aka 110 Charlton Street, a 30-story residential building nearing completion in Hudson Square. Installation of the hand-laid brick masonry is nearly finished on the structure, which is designed by Francoise of Loci Anima along with Adamson Associates. The project is being developed by Strategic CapitalCape Advisors, and Forum Absolute Capital Partners, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales for the building’s 170 units.

Jacob K. Javits Center’s Massive Expansion Continues in Hudson Yards

Work on the expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Center continues to progress in Hudson Yards. The massive expanse of steelwork is in place and offers a sense of the scale of the 1.2-million-square-foot addition. Tvsdesign is the designer and Empire State Development Corporation is the developer of the new northern wing, which is expected to cost $1.5 billion. Once completed, the project will bring the convention center’s combined square footage to 3.3 million and add an extra 22,000 square feet to the largest green roof in New York City. The construction and design build is being overseen by Lendlease in a joint venture with Turner Construction Company.
