The wrecking ball came last year for an aging factory at 10 Lexington Avenue, on the corner of Grand Avenue in Clinton Hill. Now, a five-story apartment building is rising in its place, and YIMBY has the first renderings of the project.
Earlier this year, YIMBY found an on-site drawing for a new development coming to 44 Kent Street, in Greenpoint. The plans were originally created for Cayuga Capital, but the firm sold the property for $8,750,000 last year to an LLC. Now, we can reveal that Pinny and Moishe Loketch of the Loketch Group are the new developers, and the design has also seen major changes, with Nataliya Donskoy’s ND Architecture and Design taking over the project.
Brookland Capital is one of Brooklyn’s most prolific small developers, with projects stretching from South Williamsburg to Flatbush. And today YIMBY has a better look at 447 Decatur Street, one of Brookland’s small Bed-Stuy developments.
Williamsburg is already home to the famous Brooklyn Brewery and the New York Distilling Company, and it looks like a new distiller may be setting up shop just over the border in Greenpoint. New building applications were filed for a three-story commercial building with a distillery on the ground floor at 14 Wythe Avenue, on a wedge-shaped lot bounded by Gem, Banker and North 15th Streets.
Earlier this year, YIMBY reported on applications for a four-story, 16-unit residential building at 198-200 Clifton Place, in western Bedford-Stuyvesant. But now it appears the site has been acquired by a new owner, Williamsburg-based Elite Realty & Management, who has also filed new applications to construct two separate multi-family buildings. Each building will stand four stories tall and have eight units, and each unit will average 676 square feet. In one building, the two top-floor units will also feature a fifth-floor penthouse. Boaz Golani’s Bronx-based BMG Design Build is the architect of record.
