This week Boston Properties filed permits for a 56-story commercial building at 3 Hudson Boulevard, also known as 400 Eleventh Avenue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Located between 34th and 35th Streets, the empty lot is one block from the 34th Street-Hudson Yards subway station, serviced by the 7 train. The proposed 888-foot-tall tower will yield 1,538,210 square feet of commercial space.
In May Boston Properties finalized a $500 million equity investment deal for 3 Hudson Boulevard with the Moinian Group, acting as both the lender and co-developer with the Moinian Group in the joint venture. There has been many changes to the development since the Moinian Group broke ground on the property in 2017 when specs called for a 940-foot-tall, 53-story skyscraper.
FXCollaborative Architects is listed as the architect of record. The firm is also responsible for the upcoming 695-foot-tall, 58-story tower at 601 West 29th Street in Hudson Yards.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The foundation has been sitting empty for a year. Time for some movement.
Oh thank good, more silver glass boxes are coming. We just can’t get enough of those…
WHAT WOULD YOU PROPOSE SOME COOL BRICK AND MORTAR BUILDINGS?? YEA!!!!! YOU’RE THE SAME KIND OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD KEEP SHADOWS OUT OF CENTRAL PARK AND MAKE NO BUILDING GO TALLER THAN THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING … CHINA’S LAUGHING THEIR ASSES Off SCREW YOU
We don’t want to be China. We care about the quality of life in this city. And nothing is wrong with using a timeless material like brick. And in all honesty why do we need so many empty skyscrapers.
WOW, a bit much for some commenting on glass boxes. I am not against growth and development, but glass boxes are ugly, and will never be a Chrysler Building Icon in 20 – 50 years.
How China is laughing at us, over glass boxes……….REALLY
You can do new construction with more then glass, curtain walls with some stone, brick, whatever. mirrored glass is not exciting
