Work is moving along on Rose Hill, where the majority of the curtain wall has been installed on the northern elevation of the NoMad residential skyscraper. Only the upper floors, crown, and ground floor have yet to be enclosed in the tower’s signature Art Deco-inspired finish. Located at 30 East 29th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue, Rose Hill stands 639 feet tall and will yield 123 condominiums marketed by CORE Real Estate. The 45-story building is designed by CetraRuddy Architecture for Rockefeller Group.
Photos from nearby show the rising envelope.
Progress on the southern elevation is a bit behind. The blank concrete wall in the middle of the profile is the egress and elevator core, while the corners are being covered with the subtly etched dark metal cladding and glass panels.
Sales for homes ranging from one- to four-bedroom units have already launched and begin at $1.2 million. Closings are expected this summer. The building is the latest addition to the booming skyline of NoMad, joining other recent residential projects like 277 Fifth Avenue, 45 East 22nd Street, and Madison House. The photo below shows the prominent presence Rose Hill has beyond Madison Square Park, which is about a five-minute walk from the tower. When complete, its dark-colored façade will certainly make it stand out against the backdrop of a clear sky.
Rose Hill is slated to be finished in January 2021, as indicated on the construction fence.

Not half bad..
If this were twice the height it would make a fine addition to Verre & Steinway.
